The Cottage at Black Moshannon

Welcome to The Cottage at Black Moshannon!  The cottage is located 1 mile from Black Moshannon State Park in Central Pennsylvania.  It is near game lands,  hiking trails, snowmobile trails and Rails to Trails.

The cottage is situated on 1/2 acre of private property surrounded by state forest and private property   The cottage is newly remodeled with modern facilities, creating a cozy retreat from everyday hectic life, but close enough to victorian Bellefonte, Penn State University, State College, Philipsburg, Altoona, and Penns Valley for fine dining, Penn State sporting events, evening entertainment, cultural excursions and shopping.  Up to 6 people can have exclusive use of this getaway home, with two bedrooms having one double bed each, one bedroom with twin beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. 

We provide bedding, cookware, plates, utensils, bakeware, silverware, glasses, bath towels, and cleaning supplies.  A microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, stove and water cooler are included.  If you prefer, you may bring your own bedding and bath towels.  There is telephone service with local calling only, so you will need to bring a calling card.  Cell service is not always available.  A TV, DVD player, and Dish Network are provided.  (Service with the dish is not guaranteed.)  We have a large private deck on the back of the cottage and a fenced-in yard.  Smoking is allowed on the deck only.  No smoking is permitted in the cottage.

Responsible alcohol usage is permitted for those of age.  Pets are allowed with prior approval and an additional fee of $50/weekend or $100/week.  We can also provide information on good local kennels if requested.
